Pulsed dye laser technology
The laser treatment of rosacea is one of the most demanded, and one of the most satisfying provided to our patients. The results show reduced redness and dilated vessels in the face which provide great relief and aesthetic improvement, thank you to the technology of pulsed dye laser -laser Neodymium-YAG and variable wavelength technology Nordlys.
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition, marked by vasomotor instability and an ongoing inflammation. This instability will manifest by flushing with heat, exercise, alcohol intake even in minimal quantities, emotions, etc. Over time, these episodes of vasodilation -flushing- go from being temporary to causing permanent redness in the face, known as couperose, and at the end, the appearance of the dilated vessels of a certain caliber, perfectly visible -telangiectasias-, which results in being very unaesthetic.
Both redness (couperose) and telangiectasias respond positively to laser treatment, with very noticeable improvements, removing visible vessels and reducing drastically the redness on an average of 3 sessions.
Also, many patients experience inflammatory outbreaks, with the emergence of lesions similar to acne pustules, mainly in the central area of the face – nose and cheeks.
In these circumstances, vascular lasers or medical treatments with creams and / or pills can be very helpful. In creams, the ones that stand out are metronidazole in 0.75% in gel and 1% ivermectin, and when speaking about pills, antibiotics such as doxycycline or minocycline. Amongst these, the vascular laser is usually the one that achieves the fastest remissions of the outbreak, and sometimes, a combination of treatments may be the best option.
Even when vasomotor instability can not be modified, its consequences, redness and telangiectasia, can be dealt in a very successful way with the many laser platforms at Biolaser La Moraleja.
